Co-founder and public face of Cash Money Records Bryan Christopher Williams, popularly known as Birdman came onstage during rapper, Lil Wayne‘s Lil Weezyana Fest which also doubled as a 10-year anniversary celebration of Weezy’s iconic album Tha Carter III to offer a public apology at.
The 49-year-old ‘Young Money Cash Money’ executive professed his undying love and also issued an apology in front of all the attendees of the event for Lil Wayne, after the pair’s legal battle.
“I wanted to apologize to my nigga worldwide. That nigga put his life in my hands and I’m real with that nigga, we gon’ do that shit ’til the day we die. It’s YMCMB for death.”
Stating that their relationship as one that will last a whole lifetime. 35-year-old Wayne ultimately settled with Cash Money for Fifty-one million dollars in June. Birdman’s appearance demonstrates good faith for his associate also ascertaining the words of the rapper’s lawyer, Ron Sweeney
“The matter has been amicably resolved to the satisfaction of all parties. In terms of the particulars, we’re prohibited legally from saying anything further. I can say that my client is happy. He is his own man, a man that owns his assets, his music and himself. At some point, Wayne will let his fans know what’s going to happen next.”
Lil Wayne and his erstwhile boss and adopted father had been involved in a legal battle for years, owing to allegations of financial impropriety. They recently reached a settlement when a court awarded the rapper an undisclosed amount of money for all of his troubles.
