Retired football star and former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has announced his decision to become a professional boxer at the tender age of 38.
Rio reportedly took up the sport to stay fit in retirement from football and to channel his grief after the death of his wife two years ago.
The former Manchester United and England defender has been posting training videos to his social media account in recent months jokingly challenging professional boxers notably Tyson Fury and David Haye to a fight.
