Following the receipt, the troubled musician was expected to show up in court on Thursday (December 20) to answer for an alleged assault which reportedly went down at H-Town’s Galleria Mall this January.

According to TMZ, the trial judge is aware of 6ix9ine’s travails but simply followed protocol and issued the warrant regardless. In this case, the Brooklyn-bred artist is accused of choking 16-year-old Santiago Albarran during a scuffle at the mall.

Albarran and 6ix9ine reportedly shook hands and posed for photos in October after a hearing. Albarran ultimately decided he didn’t want to prosecute.

Carl Moore, 6ix9ine’s attorney, declined to have a plea deal because he believes the case should be dropped. Taking a plea would also result in a conviction record and would hurt 6ix9ine’s pending federal case.

The rapper is presently behind bars at a New York facility on several felonious charges, including racketeering. His hearing is set for September 4, 2019, and could get life in prison sentence if convicted.
