An American judge has rejected a new trial request for 81-year-old comedian, Bill Cosby.
The ruling which made his lawyer file for an appeal at a superior court, to reverse his sex assault conviction.
Bill Cosby is serving three to ten years in a state prison after being found guilty of drugging and molesting a woman in 2004. His wife Camille believes the judge who heard his case and refused a new trial is biased against them. His defence team also want him released on bail while he seeks appeal over alleged trial errors.
According to a state prisons spokesman, Cosby is in a single cell close to the infirmary and has access to a room where he can watch television and have his meals.
Bill Cosby fell from grace when he was accused by several women of drugging them and following it up with different degrees of sexual assault. In September, he was sentenced for a 2004 sexual assault on Andrea Constand.
