American rapper, Kanye West has mentioned that he is moving back to his home state of Chicago, and never coming back to Los Angeles.
The rapper made the announcement to a crowd of excited high-schoolers, during an ‘Open Mike’ event hosted by Chance the Rapper.
Following the news, TMZ says Kanye does not intend selling any of the family’s properties but has already found a ‘second permanent residence’ in his original hometown.
However, what’s yet to be known is if his wife, Kim Kardashian, and their three children will be going with him, or even aware of his intention.
TMZ also claimed he also intends moving his Yeezy headquarters to Illinois.
Chicago Tribune pointed out this isn’t the first promise he’s made that has yet to come to fulfilment. Earlier this month, Kanye announced on Twitter that he would be teaching a course at the School of the Art Institute; but the school told TMZ they did not have nor where there any plans to give him a post there.
The most notable of his collapsing hometown plans was ‘Donda’s House’, a charity named for his late mother which has since cut ties with him and changed its name.
