From Badagry to Agege to Ikorodu, Epe and Victoria Island; residents of Lagos and their families officially started the yuletide celebrations as the annual One Lagos Fiesta kicked off simultaneously in those five locations.
At the Agege Stadium, fuji legend Kollington Ayinla rolled back the years when he took the microphone and led the audience on a medley of his classic hits. In Epe, Kennis Music artiste Jo-el was the star attraction of the night as the people enjoyed the music into the early hours of the morning while Victoria Island played host to Olu Maintain. The case was the same at the other locations where Lagosians had the opportunity of entering Christmas Day with pomp and pageantry.
The talent hunt initiative, Lagos Grows Talents also took off that the various centres. Ten finalists will be chosen and will face one another at the grand finale on December 31.
But that is still a long was off as the celebrations just begun. The fun continues this evening. There are games and arcades to thrill children and teens before the music concerts start.
