‘She looks like she’s a supermodel, cover of a fashion magazine. She looks like a queen and she knows.’ This part of MI’s song ‘Slow Down’ does it. It completely describes Beverly Naya‘s style.

The very beautiful actress has never been found wanting in the ‘fashion ministry’. She is definitely not your go-to for casual styles but when it comes to red carpet and any other formal events, Beverly almost always makes the best-dressed list.

I’ll let her pictures below speak:

Nollywood actress Steph-Nora Okere has been off the scene for a while, but the actress is now set to return to the TV screens with the launch of her new TV talk show ‘The Lounge’.

According to Steph who is also the producer of the show, ‘The Lounge’ will be a 30 minute documentary-interview TV show ‘that will showcase patriots in Nigeria and their contributions towards the growth of the country’.

The show will air on five stations – STV, TVC, Channels TV, Africa Magic and Galaxy TV‘, the actress says and on the difference between acting and hosting she says ‘…it’s still entertainment. In fact I feel more challenged. I need to show more skills and prowess, above all, it’s going to be fun’.

No date has been fixed for the show’s premiere but we’re told it will kick off in a few weeks’ time.

The 3rd edition of the annual Lagos Carnival went down on Easter Monday, April 9, 2012 amidst lots of fun and excitement, as Lagosians took to the streets in glowing colours.

The carnival kicked off at 8AM, following the arrival of the participants at the Army Barracks, Falomo. At exactly 11:15AM, the train kicked off and the participants, decked out in colourful costumes, danced all the way from Awolowo road to Campos Square, ending at the Tafawa Balewa Square.

The Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, along with other top government officials, welcomed the bands as they displayed their final stunts before dispersing. Also in attendance was pop artiste Wizkid, who sang, to the delight of all present.

In a chat with one of the participants, Ms Dotun Olajiga, she expressed her appreciation for the organisation of the carnival, which she said was fun and relaxing. ‘I really enjoyed myself and I hope my band wins again as we won the previous two editions‘ she concluded.
