It’s easy to forget that Nollywood legendary actor Richard Mofe-Damijo is a man of many parts. Although he started out by acting, his long career also saw him serve in his native Delta State, first as a Special Assistant and then as Commissioner of Tourism.

Evidently, serving in government helped him see that citizens have to also get involved. In a recent video for 2Baba’s forthcoming concert Buckwyld n Breathless Power of 1, he stated his belief in the ability of one individual to effect change in his own sphere of influence.

“I believe in the power of one person’s action to deliver results,” he said. “I believe in the power of me to be the one. I believe of one…”

The Power of 1 is a movement spearheaded by Innocent “2Baba” Idibia to encourage Nigerians not to give up on government and play their own roles in nation-building. A movie of the same name is being screened at the concert which also features rappers Falz and Phyno as co-headliner.

The Buckwyld n Breathless Power of 1 holds at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island Lagos on October 20. Tickets are on sale at NETShop. Click here to buy.
