In the usual fashion, 2018 will see Olamide front a new album but unlike in the years before, it’ll be a joint project.
The Olamide-led YBNL label known for discovering and harnessing some of Nigeria’s brilliant talents is set to release its first group album. The fourteen track album dubbed ‘Mafia Family’ will feature the newly discovered; Picazo Rhap and Yomi Blaze, as well as the label’s princess, Temmie Ovwasa, Davolee, Limerick, Lyta and the label’s in-house disc jockey, Enimoney.
The album also accommodates Olamide’s 2018 solo releases, Motigbana and Poverty Die. Since breaking out in 2011, Olamide has sustained the laudable habit of dropping an album every year. Although this year’s isn’t a sol0 drop, the rapper scores points for executive producing and masterminding the Mafia Family project.
The album will also feature the contribution of non-YBNL signees; LK Kuddy, Kizz Daniel and Kranium. The Mafia Family album is scheduled to drop this Friday (December 14).
