Female rapper, Cardi B was all emotional last night as she became the first solo woman in history to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album.
Cardi who blew up in 2017 won the best rap album award with her debut “Invasion of Privacy,” edging out strong male contenders such as Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, Travis Scott, and the late Mac Miller
Flanked by her baby father and Migos member Offset, Cardi teared up during her acceptance speech as she talked about her pregnancy and daughter, who was born last July.
“I want to thank my daughter,” Cardi said. “I’m not just saying thank you because she’s my daughter. It’s because, you know, when I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete, like three songs that I was for sure having. And then you know, you know how it was, we was like, we have to get this album done so I could still do videos while I’m still not showing. And it was very long nights.”
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper looked visibly nervous, as she tried to joke out of the situation saying, “The nerves are so bad. Maybe I need to start smoking weed.”
