After more than 100 days on medical vacation in London, Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari, is set to return to the country later today, August 19.
Buhari left Nigeria in May for a second medical vacation, having spent two months in London between January and April.
In a statement by his adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari thanked Nigerians for their prayers while he recovered.
‘He thanks all Nigerians who have prayed ceaselessly for his recovery and well-being since the beginning of the health challenge.’
Buhari would be received at the international airport later today and is expected to address Nigerians in a live broadcast on Monday, August 21.
