For over a decade, R&B singer, R. Kelly has been trailed by varying degrees of sexual-abuse-related allegations. In 2008, he was arraigned over a heinous case of underage sex.
The singer faced charges of child pornography after being accused of making a 27-minute sex tape with a 14-year-old.
In 2017, R. Kelly was accused of brainwashing women and young girls into becoming his ‘sex slaves’. Some two months ago, music streaming platform, Spotify denied him the privilege of being playlisted as a result of the repeated allegations of sexual misconduct slammed against him.
R. Kelly has now released a 19-minute song titled ‘I Admit’, which found him addressing a number of these allegations. Although he admitted to committing some of these crimes, his confessions were more defensive, than remorseful.
Now the big question; should fans continue to listen to his music and ultimately contribute to the sustenance of his existence despite the numerous accusations of sexual misconduct?
