#NigeriaDecides: Buhari Defeats Atiku in Kwara State

President Muhammadu Buhari has defeated Atiku Abubakar in the presidential election in Kwara State.

Buhari polled a total of 308,984 votes while Atiku polled a total of 138,184 votes. Total number of registered voters in Kwara is 1,401,895 while total number of accredited voters is 489,482.

While a total of 486,254 votes were cast, the total number of valid votes is 459,676 while 26,578 votes were rejected.

Senate President Bukola Saraki had been unable to deliver the state for Atiku as he also lost his seat at the National Assembly.

Buhari has won his third state out of four that have been announced by INEC so far.

The collation of election results is currently ongoing in Abuja. This is the fourth out of 36 states to have been officially announced
