Manchester United needed patience but eventually came out of the visit to Wales with an emphatic 4-0 win over Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.
The early kick-off was bound for a goalless first half until Eric Bailly slammed home from close range after Paul Pogba‘s header was kept out by Lukasz Fabianski and the crossbar.
Jose Mourinho‘s men continued to dominate proceedings in the second half but getting that second goal to put the game to bed stayed elusive.
That was until the 80th minute when Henrikh Mkhitaryan picked out an unmarked Romelu Lukaku to score and ease the nerves on the visiting bench.
Two soon became three when Pogba won the ball in midfield and played in Mkhitaryan who found the French midfielder to score in the 82nd minute.
And two more minutes were all it took for United to score another one, substitute, Anthony Martial getting the ball from Pogba and going on a solo run before cutting in and slotting past Fabianski.
The 4-0 win is United’s second successive league win by that score and leaves the Old Trafford side top of the league with a perfect record so far.
