Sosoliso crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi proceeds to semi finals of America’s Got Talent

Kechi Okwuchi, one of two survivors of the of the December 2005 Sosoliso Airlines crash, has progressed to the semi finals of the annual America’s Got Talent television show.

The 27-year-old, who stunned Simon Cowell and other judges with her rendition of Katy Perry‘s song ‘By The Grace of God’, got a standing ovation from the audience and the judges who all gave her the needed approval for qualification.

The singer, who expressed her delight at her progress in the competition, took to social media to thank people for their support.

‘I didn’t dare to dream of quarter finals, now I’m gonna be in the AGT semis. When God moves, He moves BIG!’ she wrote after her qualification.

Also through to the semis are New York City subway singer Mike Yung, singer-songwriter Chase Goehring and gospel choir DaNell Daymon & Greater Works.
