With only four days before Buckwyld n Breathless holds, fans are already anticipating a great show: 2Baba‘s headline concerts have proved to be anything but boring- especially when he features a female entertainer.
The first edition in 2010 had Tonto Dikeh blowing everyone’s mind with her uber-sensual dance with 2face. In 2017, Tiwa Savage shared the stage and as they say, killed it.
The 2018 edition, however, features as co-headliners rappers Falz and Phyno, as well as Nollywood legend Richard Mofe-Damijo. Yep, no lady this time. Although we know it’s not sexist- maybe they just went a different route this year- we have some ideas of which ladies should be on that stage.
Some people refer to Yemi Alade was the best performer in Africa. If you’ve ever seen her on stage, you won’t disagree much. Her voice is striking and she can dance! Her presence is sure to turn Eko Hotel into a stadium.
Steadily, Teni is becoming a star. From her funny skits and freestyles, she’s definitely holding her own as a performer. Add to the fact that she has a sense of style that is uniquely hers, then you have a bonafide star. Folks don’t even remember that she has a big sister who sings as well.
Simi is a delightful combination of soul and hilarity. One minute she’s delivering velvety vocals and the next, she’s goofing about like a clown. Music fans have come to regard Simi as one of the finest artistes in this part of the world. Her celebrated chemistry with Falz won’t hurt either.
So what if she performed last year? Ms Savage’s stardom is second-to-none is this part of the world. With a discography as wide as her smile, every event that Tiwa Savage sings at becomes a carnival. Plus she and the Idibia are neighbours sef.

Pay attention to the name; it will become important in the very near future. Cyclone Artemis is a fast-rising singer who recently did a cover of 2Baba’s song, Amaka. Who knows if she will be on stage too?
