A warrant has been issued by Shreveport police for the arrest of American rapper, Mystikal, over an alleged sexual assault incident in October 2016.
The 46-year-old rapper is charged with first-degree rape along with a 26-year-old woman, Averweone Holman.
Holman has been arrested but Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, remains at large.
The incident is alleged to have happened during the rapper’s Legends of Southern Hip-Hop Tour in Shreveport, with police linking him based on the victim’s statement, witness testimony and DNA evidence.
Another woman said to be an associate of Mystikal, Tenichia Wafford, was also charged with one count of Accessory After the Fact to First Degree Rape.
She is said to have attempted getting the rape victim to drop the accusation against the rapper.
It is not the first time Mystikal has been in trouble with the law.
Back in 2003, he pleaded guilty to sexual battery and served six years in prison – regaining his freedom in 2010.
Meanwhile, Mystikal has been replaced by a special guest at a show he was scheduled to perform with K. Michelle in Arkansas’ Robinson Performance Hall on August 25.
